Scholarships were bounteous. According to guidance counselor Ruth Broman, if the full monetary amount of the known scholarships were disbursed, the total would be more than $875,000. Of that, more than $213,000 comes from the generous support of Greene County residents (past and current), communities, businesses and organizations. “With this generous support, further education becomes more viable,” Broman said.

About the Class of 2021, 82 percent have taken at least one college class and 69 percent plans to go on to some form of post-secondary education.

For the third year, all seniors graduating from Greene County High School received a Greene County Foundational Scholarship in the amount of $500. The scholarships were awarded regardless of each recipient’s future plans.
